The 6th annual Young Women LEAD workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, March 7th, 2018 at Vincennes University Jasper Campus! Young Women LEAD is a conference for high school girls focusing on Leadership, Education And Development! The program lasts a full day (8:00 CST - 2:00 CST) and has featured speakers. Topics covered include health and fitness, careers, social media, managing stress, interviewing skills, money management and many others that are informative and inspiring. The event is free, and students receive a free lunch, t-shirt, goodie bag and opportunities to win prizes. Students can register beginning at 6:30 a.m. HHHS time on MONDAY January 15 at www.youngwomenlead.com Spots will fill up quickly, so students must register promptly. Students must ride the provided school bus; more information to follow for those who register. See Mrs. Wilmes if questions.

The Guidance Department at HHHS will be hosting an informational session for the Class of 2019 and their parents on Monday, January 29, 2017 at 6:30 p.m CST in the auditorium.“Senior Year 101” will provide important information for the Juniors as they prepare for their senior year and for life after high school. Regardless of a student’s plans after high school, this program has something for everyone. It is imperative that each student and a parent or guardian attend. Attendance prizes will be awarded and helpful materials provided. Ask a counselor if questions.

Do you want to host an exchange student next school year? It is a wonderful experience! Debbie Scott will be available during lunches on TUESDAY to provide information for interested students to share with their parents.

Any boy who is interested in trying out for the golf team needs to sign up in the office.

The representative from Brescia University will be here at HHHS on Tuesday, January 16th. She will be available in the Periodical room during 3rd period 10:03-10:50. Seniors, stop by the Guidance Office to sign up if you want to attend.

If you are in need of a prom dress stop by the High School on January 13 from 10:00am-3:00pm. If you are wanting to sell your prom dress stop by from 8:00am-10:00am. SENIORS: Now is the time to file the FAFSA – “Free Application for Federal Student Aid” to get assistance to pay for college. The new deadline for state aid is April 15, 2018, however early filing allows families more time to receive and evaluate their financial aid package. Go to www.fafsa.gov.

The ACT, a college entrance examination that is like the SAT, is being given at Heritage Hills on Saturday, February 10. To register, go online to www.actstudent.org. Deadline is January 12. Seniors who still need a test score for college admission may need to register for this test. College-bound Juniors are encouraged to take the ACT! See a counselor if questions.

HSF--Hispanic Scholarship Fund --has awarded more than $550 million in scholarships and provides a range of impactful programs for students, HSF scholars, alumni, and parents. Don't miss the opportunity to apply for an HSF scholarship. The application opens January 1, 2018, and closes March 31, 2018. Scholarship recipients will be selected in June 2018.
