Attention GirlsThe 6th annual Young Women LEAD workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, March 7th, 2018 at Vincennes University Jasper Campus! Young Women LEAD is a conference for high school girls focusing on Leadership, Education And Development! The program lasts a full day (8:00 CST - 2:00 CST) and has featured speakers. Topics covered include health and fitness, careers, social media, managing stress, interviewing skills, money management and many others that are informative and inspiring. The event is free, and students receive a free lunch, t-shirt, goodie bag and opportunities to win prizes. Students can register beginning at 6:30 a.m. HHHS time on MONDAY January 15 at www.youngwomenlead.com Spots will fill up quickly, so students must register promptly. Students must ride the provided school bus; more information to follow for those who register. See Mrs. Wilmes if questions.
FFA Night Meeting January 26th 
The Guidance Department at HHHS will be hosting an informational session for the Class of 2019 and their parents on Monday, January 29, 2017 at 6:30 p.m CST in the auditorium.“Senior Year 101” will provide important information for the Juniors as they prepare for their senior year and for life after high school. Regardless of a student’s plans after high school, this program has something for everyone. It is imperative that each student and a parent or guardian attend. Attendance prizes will be awarded and helpful materials provided. Ask a counselor if questions.
Any boy who is interested in trying out for the golf team needs to sign up in the office.
Students who have not yet completed the form that allows you to be published in the yearbook need to do so as soon as possible.  Parents need to fill out the online paperwork on their Harmony account.   If not your picture will not be in the yearbook. 
SENIORS: Now is the time to file the FAFSA – “Free Application for Federal Student Aid” to get assistance to pay for college. The new deadline for state aid is April 15, 2018, however early filing allows families more time to receive and evaluate their financial aid package.  Go to www.fafsa.gov.  Ask a counselor if questions.
Guidance
A representative from Brescia University will be here at HHHS during 3rd period, 10:03-10:50, on Tuesday, February 6th in the Periodical room  Seniors are invited, please sign up in the Guidance Office to attend.
Seniors - Check our school's webpage for many scholarships now available for applications. All you need to do is...Go to the HHHS webpage, under Guidance you will find Scholarships. Read through the available scholarships to find the ones to fit you. If you have any questions or concerns, please stop by the Guidance office. 
The ACT, a college entrance examination that is like the SAT, is being given at Heritage Hills on Saturday, February 10. To register, go online to www.actstudent.org. Deadline is January 12. Seniors who still need a test score for college admission may need to register for this test. College-bound Juniors are encouraged to take the ACT! See a counselor if questions.
College Applications--We encourage students to apply early! Check out this website for a list of colleges and how much their applications fees are. It also lists which applications are free and has links to admissions websites.
