Stir-N-Up, a therapeutic horse riding program located on 162 north of Santa Claus, is having a volunteer training session on Tuesday, April 24 at 6:00 p.m. Paperwork will be available to fill out (parent signature required if under 18) . Interested in WELDING? A representative from Ivy Tech in Tell City will be here Friday morning at 8:00 in the commons. Current sophomores and juniors may attend to register for the fall welding course or to ask questions about how Heritage Hills helps fund this college course. Questions? The 'Going Out of Business Sale' has started for the bookstore.  All merchandise is discounted by 10% this week.

The 8th annual Danielle’s Dash 5K Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, May 12th at Yellig Park in Santa Claus.  All proceeds of this race will go to the Danielle Nicole Reinke Heritage Hills Scholarship Fund.  The race will begin promptly at 8am with registration opening at 7am.  Entry fee is $20 if you sign up by Wednesday, April 25 or $25 on the day of the race. Participants will receive a Danielle’s Dash t-shirt, post- race snack and drink. STUDENTS:  Counselors have now met with ALL STUDENTS to choose classes for next year. Soon, schedules will be locked in. Any student who needs to make a change of ANY KIND needs to see a counselor within one week. There will be minimal changes made in May and NO CHANGES after we leave for summer. Ask a counselor if you need to review your course requests so that your schedule is accurate for fall.

HHHS Athletes:  Student athletes need to come to the HS Office to get the 2018/19 school year athletic physical packet. Heritage Hills Athletic Dept. will be hosting physicals Monday April 23 in the red gym from 6pm- 8pm. Cost will be $25.

Saturday April 21, the choir department is hosting a carry-out BBQ Chicken Dinner. It includes 1/2 chicken, creek fries, baked beans, cole slaw, and choice of dessert. Tickets are $10.00 and are on sale now.  Please contact Mrs. Staffeld or any choir student for tickets! 

Memorial Hospital/Health Care Center and Vincennes University/Jasper Campus are hosting a daytime summer camp on July 25, 26, 27 for students who will be sophomores, juniors, and seniors in the Fall of 2018.  If you have an interest in professions within the healthcare industry, this is the camp for you. Stop by the HHHS Guidance Office to pick up an application. The deadline is June 4, 2018. Cost is $30.00


JUNIOR boys are invited to attend Boys State, to be held this summer at Trine University in Angola, Indiana from June 17-23. Boys who are in the top 1/2 of their class are eligible to apply. It is paid for by the local American Legion. Boys State is a unique summertime educational program that is designed to mirror the structure and operation of the Indiana state government, while providing training in practical citizenship, leadership and character development. Some past attendees include Mitch Daniels, Richard Lugar, Astronaut Neil Armstrong, Bill Clinton, Newscaster Tom Brokaw and Michael Jordan. Students interested in government, history, political science, law enforcement or the military may be especially interested. It is a very prestigious program. The $300 fee is paid by a local organization.
