STUDENTS: An important online SURVEY was shared with you....PLEASE take a few minutes to complete the survey. It gives HH information about what concerns students and also identifies helpers in the building. The survey closes at the end of the day on Wednesday, so  please take 5 minutes to do it!

 

Girls' basketball fall workouts will begin this Thursday Sept 6th right after school, meet in the red gym.

 

Girls planning to play basketball need to be fitted for shoes during their lunch on Wed. Sept. 12th.

 

There is a student council meeting Thursday morning at 7:30 in Mr Maucks room.

FFA members - your help is needed during the Dale Fall Fest with table moving, kiddie pedal pull, and during the parade.  An announcement has been posted to the FFA Classroom (code lyq6ex) which details out when everything is going on.  Take this opportunity to get involved in your FFA as well as serve the community!  A google form has also been sent around for sign-up.  If you are not receiving this please e-mail me so I can add you to the list.

High School females with an interest in the agricultural and life sciences are invited to attend the 2018 Young Ladies of Agriculture Career Showcase on September 13th, 2018 held at the Purdue@Westgate Academy in Odon, IN.  The showcase will allow high school students to interact with women agricultural professionals, attend workshops in a wide variety of topics, and interact with fellow young ladies of agriculture. The agenda for the day is tentatively scheduled for 8am-4pm (EST) featuring a career fair and hands-on workshops in food science, animal science, entrepreneurship, college and career prep, and a STEM lab. Featured speaker, Marlene Eick (www.marleneeick.com) will be encouraging participants to find their passion and live their dream!

SENIORS that may attend Indiana University Bloomington: Please see Mrs. Tempel in Guidance for information about the Wells Scholarship. Our school can nominate two students for this scholarship. You will need to prepare a few things so we can decide who our two nominees will be. Once our nominees are chosen, they will submit for the scholarship competition. Please see Mrs. Tempel for questions!

 

A representative from the Spencer County Voters Registration Office will at HHHS on Monday, September 17 during both lunch periods.  Stop by their table if you need to register to vote.

The Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Application is now open. Visit the Spencer County Community Foundation website or the link below for more information on the application process.   Deadline to apply is September 17th, 2018.  Applicants must have an un-weighted GPA of at least 3.75 and must have an SAT or ACT score to submit with the application.
