Indiana University - Summer 2020 Session Overview    Cost to attend $1,900

July 5—July 18, 2020

  • Sunday, July 5: Participants travel to Indiana University Bloomington and orientation begins.
  • Typical weekday: Weekdays will be divided into two-day sections that will focus on the languages and cultures of the Arabic, Mandarin, Russian, and Turkish-speaking world. Mornings will include a business session and a language session. Afternoon sessions will be primarily interactive and experiential and will include regional culture sessions, as well as political and business climate sessions. This time will also include group discussions, career information sessions, and cultural and region-specific activities. Participants will also work on a team project that will be presented on the final day of the program.
  • Saturday, July 18: Present final group projects in the morning. There will also be a closing reception in the afternoon to officially end the program. Families are welcome to attend this reception.

Students will depart the program following the closing reception on Saturday afternoon.

INNOVATE With IN – Ball State University

High School students have the opportunity to win up to $100,000 in awards, including a scholarship up to $10,000 to be used at an accredited state institution, and engage in educational opportunities hosted by the Indiana Economic Development Corporation, Indiana Department of Education, Ball State University and The STARTedUP Foundation.  Also, we are, again, offering a $250 award to the first four (4) teachers in each region to register and bring five (5) or more middle school students to the workshops.
