College Visit Procedures

Juniors and Seniors are encouraged to attend college campus preview/open house days (posted on each college's website). These days allow for a campus tour, group presentations, and question and answer sessions to help students find out the much needed information on the potential schools. Many of these preview days are on Saturdays or during fall or spring break, so it may not be necessary to miss a day of school. If a school day is missed for a college visit, the student and parent need to complete a college visitation/planned absence form found in the Front Office. If requested, the guidance secretary may assist in scheduling a visit.
Seniors may have two school days not counted as absent.
Juniors may have one day not counted as absent.

2020-2021 - Due to COVID
Colleges and universities are not sending admission representatives to Heritage Hills High School.  Instead, Zoom meetings are being offered to interested seniors and juniors.  Check your email and read the daily bulletin for these scheduled meetings.  In order to attend, you must sign up in the Guidance Office prior to the meeting date.
In addition, most colleges and universities offer "virtual tours" to walk you around the campus and give you information without actually traveling to the location.  Many of these tours can be located on our webpage under the heading of College and Career Resources/College and University Contacts.  Seniors, many of these virtual tours have also been sent directly to your email.
