The 2020 U.S. Service Academy Day sponsored by Congressman Larry Bucshon

The 2020 U.S. Service Academy Day for Indiana’s 8th Congressional District scheduled
for April 18th was cancelled due to COVID-19.  Instead, Congressman Bucshon is
pleased to host a “Virtual Academy Day” on his website!  This informational forum will
provide interested students in grades 8-12 the opportunity to learn more about
the U.S. Service Academies, requirements for admission and the selection process.
Students and parents are strongly encouraged to view the individual presentations from Congressman Bucshon and representatives from the U.S. Service Academies.

Army ROTC provides full tuition and fees (or $10K for room and board) scholarships to over 2000 high school students each year. We intend to continue to sustain that same level of commitment into 2021. In addition to the tuition and fees, the scholarship pays $1200 annually for books and a stipend of $420 per months (for up to 10 months a year.)
I have provided links to several resources that you can use to view information on Army ROTC. One is the Army ROTC overview. It explains, in general terms, the basic eligibility and benefits for the program. The item is a resource you can use for the ACT/SAT as you wait for the tests to be conducted.
