Local Scholarships


University of Southern Indiana and Indiana University School of Medicine are offering a scholarship opportunity to students interested in the medical field. The application for 2019 B/MD scholarship is now open. The application can be accessed at:

Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship

Memorial Hospital Foundation Scholarships

 

Two scholarships will be awarded to residents of the Memorial Hospital service area or southern Indiana area who are enrolled, or plan to enroll in post-high school programs leading to an ASN or BSN registered nurse designation.  The desired outcome is for the recipients to return to southern Indiana to practice subsequent to graduation. 

Amount awarded: up to $1250.00 each.

Five scholarships will be awarded to residents of the Memorial Hospital service area, one specifically in Daviess, Dubois, Martin, Pike, and Spencer Counties.  These are for students who attended high school in these counties and are enrolled, or plan to enroll in post-high school programs leading to a degree in health career field

(M.D., pharmacist, radiology technologist, rehabilitation therapist, etc.)  The desired outcome is for the recipients to return to southern Indiana to practice after graduation.

Amount awarded:  $1000 each.

Kathleen M. Tempel Nursing Scholarship

Two scholarships will be awarded to residents of the Memorial Hospital service area or southern Indiana area who are enrolled, or plan to enroll in post-high school programs leading to as ASN or BSN registered nurse designation.  The desired outcome is for the recipients to return to southern Indiana area to practice after graduation.                        
Amount awarded:  up to $1250.00 each.

Indiana University Southeast Admission Scholarship

In addition to the general scholarship offerings, IU Southeast offers automatic scholarships ranging from $2,000 to $3,500 based on GPA and test scores.  Our already low tuition makes these very valuable awards.  To qualify, current seniors must be admitted by November 1st, 2019.  More information about these awards including award criteria is available at: https://www.ius.edu/financial-aid/types-of-aid/automatic-scholarships.php
